In defiance to the zoning pattern of Bende Federal constituency, the incumbent member Representing Bende Federal Constituency, Hon. Nnenna Ukeje has picked the nomination in her bid to return to the National Assembly for the fourth term.

Nnenna Ukeje was first elected to represent Bende Federal Constituency in 2007, taking over from Hon. Mba Ajah and for the past 16 years power has remained in Bende North.

This has elicited an unprecedented outcry of marginalization by their brother from Bende south and political parties within the state seem to have taken this fact into consideration.
