Barrister Emeka Uwakalom, The Accord Party gubernatorial candidate for Abia State has stated that godfatherism and lack of God fearing leaders are some of the major reasons why the state is faced with under-development.
According to him, if nothing is done to reverse this ugly trend, Abia will continue to be backward in terms of infrastructural and human capital development.
Barrister Uwakalom who stated these during a press conference yesterday in Umuahia, emphasized that Abia State is under a bondage and until a deliberate effort is made in liberating the state from the evil bondage, development and great aspiration desire of the people may not be achieved.
The accord party candidate maintained that if he is elected governor of Abia State, one of his agenda will be to handover the state to God and make sure his government is transparent, accountable and open to the public scrutiny at all time.
He went further to emphasis the need to uproot godfatherism syndrome from Abia State politics and make sure that government is accountable to Abians and Abians alone.
The accord party guber candidate who is also an associate pastor in Living Faith Church World Wide, also revealed other agendas he has for Abians if elected governor.
