GOV. IKPEAZU PROMISES TO ACTUALIZE THE ABIA DREAM OF A PERMANENT GOVERNMENT HOUSE

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has promised to end the continued tenancy of Abia State Government, thus truncating the several years the Government has had run from a rented apartment.

Gov. Ikpeazu says his administration will not relent in ensuring the completion of the new Government House project at Ogurube layout Umuahia as soon as possible.

The project which was initiated by the immediate past administration of Chief Theodore Ahamefula Orji as one of his “Legacy Projects” would from all indications be completed by the Ikpeazu administration.

Governor Ikpeazu who embarked on an inspection tour of the new Government House, disclosed that the contractor handling the project will soon be mobilized back to site.

He noted that apart from the the new Government House project, his administration has mobilized contractors handling various road projects across the state for completion and commissioning in the first one hundred days of his second term in office.

Ikpeazu who further noted that “abandoning the project is not an option”, said the project would be completed before the end of his tenure.
