The wife of the Governor of Abia state, Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, has assured Abians of an improved health care delivery system.
She made this assurance during the commissioning of the SDA Hospital, Ubakala, and flagging off of a 10 day free medical outreach in Abia state.
Mrs Ikpeazu who was impressed at the initiative, thanked the North American Council of the Eastern Nigeria Adventist and the Babcock Medical Team for their efforts in ensuring that Abians enjoy quality health care.
“Abia state places a lot of premium on health”, she added.
“We are not treating the health of Abians with kids gloves, this is because our health occupies the front burner of us, there is certainly need to expand the horizons of our health delivery system in order to realize a healthy population that can drive development in our society” she concluded.
The leader of National Council Eastern Nigeria Adventist, Mrs. Nwamara Victoria Imo, presented some medical equipment to the hospital, assuring that it is their desire to improve health facilities and services in Eastern Nigeria. The team did not leave without appreciating Governor of the state, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for providing enabling environment and assured him that they have come to compliment his efforts in ensuring that Abians are in good health.
The Ten Day Medical Mission is still ongoing.
