Abia State Government Clamp Down On Motor Parks And Keke Operators Around Isi-gate

Having successfully removed traders at ISI Gate umuahia, all motor parks within Isi-gate and its environs are advised in their own interest to leave immediately. Loading of any kind would encourage street trading.

All those loading for Ubani Market and other areas should move to Ossah road by umuagu side.

Ossah road by Umuagu/ Military Checkpoint near Ezumezu Event Centre is now the center point where Keke and buses going to Ubani Market will converge, while Ossah road by Uwalaka street will serve as keke loading bay for all those travelling to Aba, Owerri, Lagos. The idea is to end touting at Isi gate any violation will attract severe sanctions.


Landlords and house owners should also note that all the residential buildings converted to shops will face demolition if they refuse to revert back to the original building plan.

Those selling households equipment, clothes, shoes, wholesalers of any kind of product etc at Orieugba Market should please move to Ubani market. Orie ugba Market is only meant to serve as a relief market for perishable goods.

The Ministry of Trade and Investment will enforce these directives without further notice to those concerned, plans are under way to give further non payment relief to all those parking in Ubani for a period not less than 6 months.
