Lauretta Nwaubani Levi a native of Isiala ngwa North LGA, of Abia State, who miraculously survived a fatal vehicle accident that took 31 lives along Umuahia-Portharcourt road on 21st October 2018 has given birth to a bouncing baby boy of seven months old caesarean section (CS) while still on clutches.
Lauretta married Victor Nwaubani a police officer on December 7, 2019.
Speaking with Total News 24, Lauretta said: “when i got involved in the accident, I was dating my husband then but still on clutches,I was so scared that he will leave me because I was badly injured but my husband still went ahead and marry me.
“The first surgery on my leg was done 30 October at FMC Umuahia, the second one was at Maitama district Hospital on September 9th 2019, because it was the bone that was infected, so after delivery, it was infected again because during my pregnancy I avoided some strong antibiotics that I suppose to take.
“I have heard about people given birth at 7months but was surprised that it happened to me, Funny enough my Husband was delivered at 7months too.
The doctors told me that I can’t deliver by myself because of my leg, that we should prepare for CS, but to God be the glory I delivered my baby.
Lauretta took to her facebook page to further explain her story :” During my pregnancy, we passed through, sleepless nights, we were nursing my leg and pregnncy at the same time, the pains and cry, I couldn’t share my pain with people except my family because people keep blaming me and my husband why I got pregnant in this my condition and it hurts my husband so much, he keeps blaming himself while I am the happiest person for being pregnant, but my family cries with me and share my pain always,oh who said there is no God?
“we have suffered so much which only God knows, but thanks be to Almighty God we won the battle.” Lauretta Happily explained.
Lauretta had a wedding ceremony which drew the attention of many national dailies in 2019.
