A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Chief Emmanuel Oluoha, has described the release of the Senate Chief Whip, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, as divine and healthy development for the actualization of 2023 Igbo presidency.
Oluoha whose views is contained in a statement made available to newsmen, said God made the release of Sen. Kalu possible to enable him once again play leadership roles in his home state, Abia, and south east.
Describing the former governor of Abia State and senator representing Abia North Senatorial District as a progressive, mass mobilizer and mentor to many politicians and entrepreneurs, the party chieftain who is also a founding member of APC, enjoined Ndigbo to rally round the former governor and support him into contesting the presidential seat in 2023.
“It is my wish to join well meaning Nigerians in welcoming brother and political leader, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, the Senate Chief Whip, back home after months of incarceration at Kuje Correctional Service.
The release of Sen. Kalu, is divine as it has politically brightened the chances of Ndigbo towards actualizating the much eluded Igbo presidency in 2023.
It is therefore incumbent on the senator and former governor of Abia State to immediately assume leadership position to among other things drive a formidable political movement in his home state, Abia, and the south east towards actualizing the much agitated Nigerian presidency of Igbo extraction in 2023″, Oluoha posited.
While applauding the judiciary for delivery justice thus necessitating the release of Sen. Kalu, the party chieftain implored Ndigbo to support the Senate Chief Whip on the grounds that he remains the most acceptable Igboman amongst Nigerians for the presidency of the country.
Oluoha also ejoined Sen. Kalu to forgive all that conspired against him including those that he mentored into politics and public service by uniting everyone as a true leader in pursuance of development and prosperity in Abia and the entire South East.
While preaching unity of purpose amongst party leaders, Oluoha seized the opportunity to welcome new members to the party; enjoining them to work towards strengthening the party rather than causing problems.
