Covid 19 : Testing And Surveillance Processes Continues Throughout Your Camping Period And Beyond – Abia State Government Informs Corps Members


Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu has reiterated governments resolve to support Corps members with epidemiological team and a rapid response system.

The governor made the position of government known in a press release signed by the Commissioner for information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu.

Our attention has been drawn to social media publications regarding the ongoing compulsory testing for COVID-19 of all potential National Youth Service Corps members in the state prior to camping.

We wish to state that the State Government is fully supporting the Corps with full epidemiological team and our rapid response system. So far, we have recorded only six positive cases of the disease among those tested and they have been managed and/or discharged as applicable.
