Yesterday the 23rd of December 2020 will remain indelible in the memory of every child and parent that witnessed the biggest christmas party ever for children in Abia hosted by the Don Lulu foundation.

The event which kicked off as planned by noon saw kids from the nooks and crannies of the state and their guardians troop in to join in the merriment that lasted for hours.

The covid-19 compliant event was fun filled as the children saw rare and live replicas of characters and animations they only watch on television like Owlet of PJ Mask, Mickey Mouse, Father Christmas etc.

There was Quiz competitions, Dance Competitions, Songs and Drama where winners are instantly rewarded with mouth watering gifts.

Gifts, food and fun flowed seamlessly as parents attested to the high level of organization and sense of security brought to bear on the event.

Speaking to our correspondent, a parent who craved anonimity said “we had become used to staying at home during christmas, my children will always complain and say Umuahia is boring, but thank God for Don Lulu foundation, at least for the first time in Umuahia, we have a place to take our children to during Christmas.”

“Just look at my daughter(pointing her daughter)she doesnt even know if i am here any more, she is enjoying herself”.

Another Parents, Mr. Akujuobi Thompson said, “I am speechless witnessing this amazing event. When we say that the life expectancy in Africa is dropping, its because of too much stress, even as a full fledged man, i had fun seeing the children dance and play.”

“Imagine an ancient city like umuahia, no one thinks of the children and where they can unwind, the only project we see everyday is hotels and bars.”
