Gov Ikpeazu’s Youth Inclusiveness In Governance, Second To None – Comrade Ndom

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Abia State on Student Matters Comrade Chibuzo Ndom has hailed the Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for (in his words) “believing and trusting young people in Abia State and entrusting them with Sensitive positions in his administration”.

Comrade Ndom stated this while on a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Prof Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe.

According to him, “we may be too young but we have seen Governors in this state, none has given youths as much opportunity as Dr. Ikpeazu has done.”

Comrade Ndom who also is an alumnus of the University went ahead to congratulate Prof Iwe over his emergence as the 6th Vice Chancellor of describing him as the first “internally generated VC”.

He commended Prof Iwe’s proactiveness which has birthed very positive milestones achieved over such little time and still counting and encouraged him never to relent in his poise to totally and positively turn around the fortunes of the institution.

Reacting, Prof Iwe thanked Comrade Ndom on the encomiums and expressed his delight that an alumnus of the University was found worthy to work closely with the Governor in such capacity and encouraged others to be good ambassadors of the institution.

High points of the event was the presentation of an award of Excellence to Prof Iwe and the subsequent official decoration of Comrade Ndom as a worthy alumnus of the University.

The SSA to the Governor on Tourism Miss Jackie Atulomah, the National President of MOUAU Alumni Association, the Zonal Rep of National Association of Nigeria Students were part of the delegation that accompanied Hon. Ndom.
