An Igbo adage says that the firewood in a community is what cooks the food of that community.
Build up to 2015 transition of power from Distinguished Senator T. A Orji to Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, those of us from the North joined the movement, not because we are close to Okezie Ikpeazu, but because we know Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu and his pedigree.
Six years down the line, it is obvious that our son has proven to be well bred, seasoned, cultured, humble, loyal, cool headed, unassuming, and a worthy ambassador of the zone.
He bestrides the office of the deputy Governor of the state with such grace and humility, given his all as a loyal assistant at all times, and continued to build bridges for his Boss, thus earning him the admiration and commendation of all and sundry.
Thus as Ohafia Local Government Area traditional rulers has elected to honour this their son that has done not just the local government but the entire Abia North and Abia State proud, it is only natural that Abia North as A Zone should be getting ready to follow suit.
Yes the Deputy Governor may hail from Ohafia Local Government but he represents the whole zone and of course he has made all of proud and proven that Loyalty is a trade mark of the zone.
Congratulations Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu PhD, come Saturday 4th December, all roads will lead to Ohafia for a reception well deserved, while we wait for the mother of all Receptions and our Statement.
