Nigeria’s huge population has been identified as a huge economic advantage the nation should optimize.
Speaking to a cross session of Online Media Practitioners in Abia during a capacity Building Workshop tagged “Innovation and action to lift Nigeria from Poverty’, the Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of Abia State, Mac Atasie stated that China is the production capital of the world today due to the fact that she properly utilized her explosive population and cheap labour.
He stated that for Nigeria to reduce the stress on Naira, it needs to adopt the innovative ideas China adopted years back that made the country the choice destination for production in the world today.
The workshop which took place at the Roots restaurant and organized by the Director-General of Mobilization Agency, Chief Paddy Anyatonwu, had leaders of the Online Media practitioners in attendance.
Atasie who doubles as innovator for so many government electronic changes like e-tranzact, NIN, ABSSIN and so many others revealed that the China model could help Nigeria in building the nation as no country survives by borrowing.
“The foundation of creating something to make money is to transform people as the theories of the human mind can be developed into wealth.
A good nation can only achieve accelerated growth and development if it can finance it’s vision so being productive as an individual or a country can generate a capital to build a nation.”
He explained that a theorist who cannot finance a vision has already failed. The idea, he concluded, was to start no matter how small.
The publisher of All Facts News, Mr Iroegbu Emenike during a vote of thanks to the Guest lecturer and organizers of the event stated that the lecture has been worthwhile while he called for more lectures on wealth creation.
Notable Bloggers in the state who attended the workshop include the Chairman Abia Online Media Publishers and publisher Abia Pulse News Comrade Ugochukwu Nwankwowere, Chief Uche Aguoru of News Gazette, Mr Chika Nwabueze of News Critic, Nneka Torti of Newsleverage, Ogbonnaya Ikokwu of City Times, Nwabueze Success of NaijaDaily, Loveday Tchidi of ParrotNews, Chibuzo Aguwa of NigerianFact among other members.
